Self-Help Industry and Its Deception

Self-help is an interesting industry.

Estimated at around $13.2 Billion.

It's apparent people seek to improve, but finding tangible tools to help is tough.

I wasted years with "The Secret" and the many spinouts.

They kept me wishing instead of doing.

It's a cruel concept to teach people to envision what you want and believe it, and you will have it.

For years I beat myself up because I didn't believe or wasn't good enough.

I wasn't seeing clearly or feeling deeply enough.

I was blaming myself.

I learned it's a scam.

Change happens when we take action and couple that with empathy.

I wanted a shortcut to the things I desired.

I thought money and freedom were all I needed to feel better.

I was wrong.

No amount of money, freedom, sex, adventure, or status would change my inner world.

Seminars, books, and products are what the industry seems to be good at producing.

Not tangible results to help people become more authentic versions of themselves.

I learned our authentic expression and connection to who we are is what determines our fulfillment.

As we connect with ourselves, the world within seeks to express and be shared.

This is where our creative expression can open up and flow out of us like a river.

The flowing current of life.

The world has sought to dam up this incredible power.

It fears our creative power.

Self-mastery and the expression of our soul are what we yearn for.

We all carry within us a vision that is waiting to be shared with the world.

Innovation, art, connection, expansion, and growth bubble within us.

The self-help industry preys on our creative desires.

It's one of the reasons I'm doing this work.

It was like searching through a massive wasteland to find the few tools and ideas that were genuinely helpful.

I was obsessed with figuring out the human dilemma.

Still am.

I'm determined to help release our human potential.

The world needs it.

Creative expression is not limited to art.

It can be applied in business, science, technology, politics, education, infrastructure, farming, energy…

On and on.

Creativity knows no bounds.

We point out problems instead of creating solutions.

One of the joys of reconnecting with ourselves is the creative power it brings to each of us.

Not power over others, but the power of our abilities and talents.

Using what lives within us to provide value in the world is an incredible feeling.

Don't box yourself in.

Let the creative energy flow from within.

Take the time to know yourself and what matters to you.

Distinguish between your own desires and the ones pressed upon us by the world.

The world needs more souls, not more molds.

More lions and fewer sheep.

You have the power!
